The Scent of Spring {Spring 2010}
My mind is running miles and miles a minute. There is a long trailing list of things I would love to write about. It must be the lovely Spring weather.
Spring brings about new beginnings and outdoor fun. It brings the creatures of the earth out of hiding and the flowers into bloom. These are the things the kids enjoy most.
Speaking of the kids: they have been enjoying the outdoors this week. They went to the park while they were visiting their Aunt. They have played outside, riding in the jeep and playing on the slide.
Busy Mom’s Bible – Week 2
Last week I spent a little time reading through my Busy Mom’s Bible. I find the tips in this bible very interesting and helpful. Just the inspriation a Busy Mom needs in this day and age.
This week I spent a little time reviewing the second devotional quick-set. This section is on Protection. The key word is Protected and the Bible verse is “The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still.” Exodus 14:14
It speaks of how the Israelites were afraid to leave Egypt but Moses convinced them to stand strong and allow the Lord to fight for them. It tells us to stand still and allow the Lord to fight for us, as the Isrealites had allowed Him to fight for them. In all things, God is there and He is standing and carrying us through all Life’s turmoils. Even as the Lord appears NOT to hear or be around, in the end he is always there, always guiding, carrying and leading His children through this life. Protecting us from Evil and harm, even in the times it seems Evil and harm are all around.
Protection, as a Mother protects her child, God protects us, His children. What a great thing His protection is! What a blessing to have protection from someone as awesome as our Heavenly Father!
Ahhh Thursday {March 5, 2010}
My day started a little late because I wasn’t feeling too well. I awoke to three cute smiling faces.
My handsome son had fixed his sisters breakfast, and done a great job making their cereal.
Once I got up and around, feeling a little better, my sweet princess decided we needed a dress up day. She picked out make-up for her Momma and helped me fix it up. She chose a lovely pink bow for my hair. My son brushed my hair “smooth” and the extra attention really felt nice. I picked out my favorite pink pants and a couple of tank tops, since I was just doing odds and ends in the house.
My princess chose to wear her blue and white dress today and use a purple bow in her hair. She brushed her own hair (I’m so proud of this new achievement of hers) and put her bow in. Then we did her makeup. What a gorgeous girl I have!
Overall, it was a terrific Thursday, relaxing and full of love. We sang and danced and made memories today that cannot be replaced. And what beautiful memories they are.
Thank God It’s Monday {Thoughts from Me}
What do you Thank God and Monday for?
