Hi, I’m Dana.
Life looks a little different in the North Georgia Mountains, where I’m raising four kids through seasons of change and growth. Two of my children are adults now, one is getting ready to graduate next year, along with a 13-year-old who’s very much still in the middle of growing up. Life here holds a lot of transition and growth, along with learning how to adapt as seasons change.
We lean toward an eclectic, unschooling-style approach to learning—flexible, curiosity-led, and shaped by real life more than rigid plans. It’s a rhythm that allows space for questions, growth, and meeting each season as it comes.
Epilepsy has been part of our family story for years. Even though it’s not front and center in our daily life now, it shaped the way we sit with people when they’re going through uncertain or overwhelming seasons. It taught us to slow down and listen carefully.
I’m currently studying Social Work and Psychology, with a focus on patient advocacy and therapy, shaped by lived experience and a desire to offer steady, compassionate support.
Mental health is part of life, along with the reality of starting over. It reflects into rebuilding at your own pace, for finding steadiness while life is shifting, and for being met with care along the way.
This is where we share pieces of real life—things we’re learning, noticing, and reflecting on, including our experiences with epilepsy and other parts of our health story—with the hope that something here meets you where you are.
Our faith shows up quietly, mostly in how we try to stay grounded, keep going, and make space for people wherever they’re coming from.
If you’re navigating change, rebuilding your life, or simply looking for a place that feels warm and real, we’re glad you’re here.
