Busy Mom’s Bible – Week 3

March 19, 2010 by Dana

Busy Mom’s Bible – Week 3

I’m a little behind on sharing week 3’s lesson but here goes anyway.

I chose to read the section on our Heavenly Father this week. The key word is as you guessed: Father. The shared scripture is Mark 10:15-16.

This scripture tells us to be child-like when it comes to Heaven. My take on this is that we should have a child-like, joyous heart and allow our Heavenly Father to parent us. This is also about trust: trusting each other and most of all trusting God. Trusting him to be there and to guide us as a parent does their child.

In fact, we should all take the time to turn to God as our Father, to listen to what he has to say and follow His ways. Imagine yourself resting your head upon the shoulder of God and let his heavenly Love heal all your pain and trust in His word and Love for us all.

Busy Mom’s Bible – Week 2

March 9, 2010 by Dana

Last week I spent a little time reading through my Busy Mom’s Bible.  I find the tips in this bible very interesting and helpful.  Just the inspriation a Busy Mom needs in this day and age.

This week I spent a little time reviewing the second devotional quick-set.  This section is on Protection.  The key word is Protected and the Bible verse is “The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still.” Exodus 14:14

It speaks of how the Israelites were afraid to leave Egypt but Moses convinced them to stand strong and allow the Lord to fight for them.  It tells us to stand still and allow the Lord to fight for us, as the Isrealites had allowed Him to fight for them.  In all things, God is there and He is standing and carrying us through all Life’s turmoils.  Even as the Lord appears NOT to hear or be around, in the end he is always there, always guiding, carrying and leading His children through this life.  Protecting us from Evil and harm, even in the times it seems Evil and harm are all around.

Protection, as a Mother protects her child, God protects us, His children.  What a great thing His protection is!  What a blessing to have protection from someone as awesome as our Heavenly Father!
