Some days I have no idea what to blog about so then this becomes a sort of diary for me. An outlet to get out my frustrations. A way to let go and share myself with the world.
Most days I have no idea where these posts are going to go. I just let my fingers type and my mind release it’s thoughts onto digital paper. As with most of our life, I go with the flow of things.
The problem with this is that there is no real stability in my blog content. That’s not necessarily a bad thing but just not a great thing when you’re a blogger. There is no particular spot for my posts. There is no particular format for my posts. There is no particular topic or style or method for my posts. They just are.
As a blogger, as a writer, I would prefer to see myself writing more interesting posts to share with my readers. I would prefer to see myself more organized in blogging and talking about life, homeschooling, even Epilepsy. I would prefer to find my spot in this blogging world, claim it for myself and let it build into something beautiful. I know that comes with time and effort though.
I have many friends who make blogging look so easy and in some ways it is when you have the content provided, such as in providing reviews and information to the public. But when it comes down to the real life heart of blogging, it becomes harder to get past the chatter and into the meat of writing.
So this months goal is to just get back to writing. Put pen to paper and go, or in this case, fingers on keyboard to digital paper and type. Both end in fabulously unique results and that’s my end goal.
This month is Epilepsy Awareness Month. As you all know, it’s a subject close to my heart as three of my four beautiful babies, along with myself have lived with Epilepsy for most of our life. This month I will be sharing more about our life with Epilepsy, as I do often throughout the year. Please message me if you have any questions you would be interested in having me answer for you.
And as always stay tuned for the next post…
With all my love,

This week has been spent on Halloween preparations. The kids absolutely LOVE Halloween. Not so much the scary stuff but just dressing up and pretending to be something else. It’s all in fun for us.
This year the costumes are:
I’ll post pics for them once the date is past.
Now I know not everyone cares for Halloween or dressing up on the day. For our family, it’s the beginning of our Holiday season and we enjoy dressing up, bonding with each other as a family. We simply enjoy our time together.
And that’s what it’s all about: being together as a family. Bonding, sharing and loving each other. Just as it should be.

This year blogging has taken a backseat to life for us. It wasn’t my intention to just let the blog go but rather an inability to keep up with writing here. As it often does, life gets in the way and there’s just no time to devote to our online presence.
A year ago, our life hit rock bottom and it’s taken a year to get back some normalcy after all we went through in our time living in Georgetown. There have been a great many changes, struggles and a constant rebuilding of our life since leaving there. The lowest point of our life has transformed into better by the day and for that I’m truly thankful.
There are many more changes to come.
When you’re living in an abusive environment, you don’t always see just how bad things are. You make excuses for the abuse. You overlook truth so that you can just make it to the next day. You think if you can just hold on, things will get better. Maybe that’s true for some but for me and my children, it definitely wasn’t.
I see such a difference in my children in this past year. I see their eyes shine with laughter. I see happiness and an unbreakable bond. Sure they argue like most siblings but there is an irreplaceable love between them that simply amazes me. I’m thankful they’ve come through life with this bond and strength to get them through.
So as we continue through the daily struggle, rebuilding our life together, I look forward to rebuilding our blog as well. I miss writing. I miss sharing our life with others. I miss the outlet that this little online space provides me with. I look forward to beginning here again and sharing our future with you as we continue letting go of the past.
