Simple Woman's Daybook

May 11, 2017 {Simple Woman’s Daybook}

May 11, 2017 by Dana

For Today:
May 11, 2017

Outside my window, I hear trucks passing by.

I am thinking about redoing our house.
I am thankful that I have a husband who is absolutely wonderful and loves me and my children greatly.
From my learning, I am learning grace.
From the kitchen, I smell tea cooking on the stovetop.
I am wearing leggings and a comfy shirt.
I am creating blog posts for the future.
I am going to prepare my children for their future.
I am reading Women Who Move Mountains by Sue Detweiler and Knights In Training by Heather Haupt.
I am hoping that we can find a way to get ahead.
I am hearing Emmalee and Jackson building puzzles together at the dining table.
Around the house, I have organizing to do.
One of my favorite things: sweet hugs from my children.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
Mow the grass.
Write reviews for both Women Who Move Mountains and Knights In Training.

A thought to share:
God never fails us.

A quote I like:

April 20, 2017 {Simple Woman’s Daybook}

April 20, 2017 by Dana

I originally found this post through the Simple Woman’s Daybook in 2009, which has since closed.  It was such a simple and fun thing to do that I haven’t forgotten it though I haven’t done one of these in quite a while.  The concept is a wonderful one.
For Today:
April 20, 2017

Outside my window, the birds are enjoying the Spring blooms.

I am thinking about life’s mysterious ways.
I am thankful for unanswered prayers and answered ones as well.
From my learning, I am finding that becoming more organized with this blog is very important.
From the kitchen, I hear the teapot whistling.
I am wearing leggings and a shirt because I had somewhere to go this morning.
I am creating new posts for the blog and joy with my children each day.
I am going to make changes we need to succeed in life.
I am reading T.I. Lowe’s A Blue Streak Summer, the third book of the Blue Streak Series.
I am hoping that my children enjoy their day.
I am hearing them play throughout the house.
Around the house I have lots of chores to get done.
One of my favorite things: snuggles with Laycie and Jack.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
Finish reading A Blue Streak Summer by T.I. Lowe.
Start reading The Shack by Wm. Paul Young.
Set up blog posts for next week.
Finish the movies recorded on TV last week.
A thought to share:
Life doesn’t always happen as we plan.  Sometimes God has better ideas for us to follow.  His guidance never fails us if we are only willing to listen and follow Him.

A quote I like:
“When I hear someone sigh
 ‘Life is hard,’
I am always tempted to ask,
 ‘Compared to what?'”

The Simple Woman’s Daybook {Aug 10,2010}

Today’s post is from The Simple Woman’s Daybook.

FOR TODAY

Outside my window the sun is shining brightly and the heat of the day can be felt through the shades covering the windows.

I am thinking about school planning, hoping to accomplish a lot this year.

I am thankful for my children who have truly blessed my life.

From the learning rooms we are preparing for school by keeping it simple and slowly introducing our studies back into our everyday life.

From the kitchen will be either sloppy joes or 4 cheese Rigatoni for lunch and pork chops, Rice-A-Roni, mac n cheese, corn and muffins for dinner.

I am wearing a comfy blue t-shirt with black shorts today.

I am creating plans.  Lots of plans for the house and school and life.

I am going to work on my kitchen clutter and classroom in a little while.

I am reading lots of blogs lately.  I enjoy the ideas that are being shared.

I am hoping that my headache goes away before much longer.

I am hearing the sweetest voices calling me Mommy and excitedly telling me what words they just wrote.

Around the house there is a mess that is slowly disappearing everyday.

One of my favorite things is the joy on my Two-dlers face when she does something she finds funny.  This girl is well loved and it more than shows! 🙂

A few plans for the rest of the week:  Organize, plan and get ready to paint the girls’ room.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing:  A beautiful smile to brighten the day!
