Ellie Claire Bible Journaling Kit {Propeller Review}

December 1, 2016 by Dana

Ellie Claire Bible Journaling Kit
Worthy Publishing Group
$18.94 at Amazon.com

I’m relatively new in the world of Bible Journaling but I’ve wanted to attempt this beautiful artform for a while now so when I was contacted in regards to this review, I immediately agreed to join in.  I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect in the Ellie Claire Bible Journaling Kit when I accepted the review but I was surprised when my kit came and I opened it to find all the hidden gems inside.  Worthy Publishing Group packed the Ellie Claire Bible Journaling Kit full of some pretty neat stuff.

The kit comes in a blue box just like the image above.  On the back of the box, it shows all the awesome things you will find inside.  22 awesome items to be exact!

Included in this kit are:
4 sheets of word stickers
4 sheets of alphabet stickers
3 sheet of tab stickers equally 24 tabs total
8 colored twist pencils
1 archival quality journaling pen
1 pouch with an adjustable strap to fit Bibles of all sizes
1 ruled page protector mat with tracing lines and a die cut shaped edge

I loved every single one of these!

They are perfect for anyone just starting out with Bible journaling.   They are just as perfect for a journaling pro.  The kit is a really great fit for one and all!

The alphabet stickers come in capital and lowercase letters in two different fonts.  They also include numbers and symbols.  These are a fun addition to your journaling pages.

The word stickers are just as amazing with lots of phrases and symbols.  The only thing I was disappointed in is that they are only in black and white and not in color.  They can be dressed up by simply marking over them to give them color though.

The tab sticker sheets are all in color.  Some include words or phrases and some are blank for you to fill in with your own words.  They are included to mark special bible passages for you to easily find.

The pencil pouch comes in a bright green with teal accenting and white lettering.  I loved the pop of color it gives the kit.  It has an adjustable strap included which allows it to fit over any Bible, making it easy to keep up with.

Everything fits nicely inside except for the page protector.

There are also 8 twistable pencils, an archival journaling pen and a ruled page protector mat included in the kit.  The page protector includes decorative edging in a multiple patterns to use in your artwork.  I thought that was a great added feature.

You can order your own Ellie Claire Bible Journaling Kit for yourself or as a gift at Amazon.com for $18.94 with free shipping at the time of this post.

Puddle Tap Publishing: The Nativity Story App {Propeller Review}

December 11, 2013 by Dana

From Puddle Tap Publishing comes an app for all ages, which shares one of the most joyous occasions known to man.  The Nativity Story App shares the story of the Birth of Jesus for all to share.  This App is one to be viewed again and again by the whole family.
The gorgeous drawings within this app are an immediate crowd-pleaser and the story tells the generationally known story of the birth of Jesus from beginning to end.  Each page of the app has beautifully, interactive pop-ups.  Our favorite parts were the beautifully lit, large Moon and the Angels used throughout the story.
The story begins with a beautiful introduction to Mary and Joseph, and shares a small portion about their love for each other and the gift Mary is about to be blessed with.  Then comes the Angel to advise Mary upon her situation.  Next we find Mary and Joseph on their journey to Bethlehem.  How many doors will they knock on before they find just the right one: the generous man who offers them a stable to sleep in.  Baby Jesus arrives and an Angel appears to spread the word to all on this blessed occasion.
It’s a timeless story that is not soon forgotten.  The Nativity Story App presents this story of the Birth of Jesus beautifully, complete with the Angels singing at the end.  In the words of my 5 year old, “it is gorgeous”.
Puddle Tap Publishing has truly outdone themselves with this app.  You can purchase The Nativity Story App from iTunes for $3.99.  It is worth every penny and is a story you will want to read again and again with this fully interactive display presentation.
*Disclaimer – I was provided this app free for review in a blog post from Propeller Reviews and Puddle Tap Publishing.  I am including this disclaimer in accordance with FTC Guidelines and Regulations.

Audrey Bunny {Propeller Review}

November 10, 2013 by Dana

Audrey Bunny is an endearing story that will be shared in your family for a lifetime.  I was so excited to read this topselling Christian Children’s story with my own children.  When I received my personal copy of Audrey Bunny, I truly had no idea what was in store for us.

This book completely captured our hearts.  From the beautiful cover, to the captivating story, every part of Audrey Bunny touched each member of our family.  This is a story I will be reading to my children over and over and passing on to their children as well.
Audrey Bunny tells the story of a soft, stuffed brown Rabbit, who sits waiting in a toy store for a child to come share their life with her.  Audrey is not perfect.  She has a smudge that prevents her from being chosen and Audrey fears that she will never go home with any child because of it.
One day, an adorable red-haired girl named Caroline comes into the toy store for her birthday.  She had seen Audrey before and had hoped she would still be there for her to buy and love.  Audrey was and the little girl was thrilled.
Audrey and Caroline had many adventures.  Audrey didn’t realize Caroline loved her in spite of her smudge and thought the smudge made her spectacular.  But in the end, Audrey realizes that Caroline chose Audrey for the fact her smudge makes her unique and special, just as God made us each unique and special in our own ways.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.  Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. — Psalm 139.14 (ESV)
This story touched my children and I so much.  My children are often the first to choose toys like Audrey from the store.  They see beauty where others often see mistakes.  They were able to connect and relate to Caroline, seeing much of themselves in the thoughtfulness of this one little girl.
Audrey Bunny is already a favorite in our home, having been read multiple times.  My girls especially cannot hear it enough.  It reminds me of classics like the Velveteen Rabbit and Peter Rabbit.
Audrey Bunny is a top seller in Christian Children’s literature.  It is a hardback book with a beautifully designed matching paper jacket.  Audrey Bunny is written by Angie Smith, author of I Will Carry You, Mended.  It is beautifully illustrated by Breezy Brookshire.  Included in the back of the book is a bonus feature called Parent Connection, where questions are provided to expand the lessons of the story and to help the parent relate this story to God’s Word.
Audrey Bunny is available for purchase for $14.99 and is published through BHKids, a division of BH Publishing Group.
*Disclaimer – I received a copy of Audrey Bunny for free in exchange for my honest opinion shared in a review on my blog.  I am sharing this in accordance with FTC Guidelines and Regulations.

Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Can’t Wait Willow! from Shine Bright Kids is simply adorable!  The circus has come to town and little Willow simply can’t wait.  She’s in a hurry to see the show.
Along the way Willow finds many things that she simply can’t wait for.  The ice-cream truck with it’s deliciously cool, creamy mint-chocolate chip cone – my favorite too!  A cold glass of lemonade.  Pink cotton candy among so many other things. Willow simply can’t wait.
Because Willow can’t wait, she ends up spending all of her money and cannot see the circus show she has excitedly been waiting for.  Oh no, Willow!  What happens next will come as a big surprise to everyone, including Willow!
To find out what happens, be sure to read this wonderful book: Can’t Wait Willow!  It’s available from Shine Bright Kids for $14.99.  This adorable book has quickly become a favorite in our home and is sure to be one in yours too!

Ring The Bell {Propeller Review}

Ring The Bell
Sometimes the next big thing isn’t what you expect.
Ring The Bell, the movie tells the story of Rob Decker a big city sports agent who has it all.  Or so he thinks.  Rob comes to find himself in a small town looking for new talent for the field.  Instead he finds simplicity, peace and a faith from people that he could never before have imagined.
Rob’s fast-paced life makes it hard for him to let go and give in to his own faith.  His must-win mindset prevents him from truly seeing the gifts God is bestowing upon him and placing in his path.  Throughout the movie, circumstances keep Rob in town, allowing him to see the difference in the life he has now and the life he’s meant to have.
Ring The Bell features great Christian artists like Casting Crowns, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Matthew West, along with baseball many baseball greats, like Rick Sutcliffe, John Kruk and Ben Zobrist.
Ring The Bell is a movie our whole family loved.  My children were absolutely glued to the tv throughout this amazing movie.  Even Josh enjoyed it and has watched it over and over since our first viewing.  I personally had tears in my eyes every time the bell rang.  It is definitely a movie you won’t soon forget.
Ring The Bell is available online and in stores for around $12.99.  Get your copy today!  It’s a movie you’re sure to love!!!
