Alison’s Choice {FrontGate Media Review}
A Film About Life
Alison’s Choice is a movie that speaks to your heart. Sometimes in life mistakes are made and options to correct those mistakes are consider that aren’t always given the thought they deserve. When we are young, with our future ahead of us, these mistakes can feel like burdens when they shouldn’t always feel that way.
Alison’s Choice is the story of Alison. Like many young girls, Alison is in love and her love leads her to giving into lust. Now she must decided what to do with the result of her escapade.
Alison thinks abortion may be the only answer. Her boyfriend is pushing her to fix the mistake. She isn’t sure how she can manage to raise a child when she’s barely able to take care of herself.
Alison visits the local clinic, alone. Her boyfriend texts but can’t be bothered to be there for her. While at the clinic, Alison comes across many others who are like her only in their own situations: a Mom who doesn’t need the extra burden right now, another young girl who has done this twice already and feels it’s just another mistake to take care of, and a few others.
Alison’s heart is telling her no while others are saying YES loudly. She isn’t sure what to do. With the help of a caring receptionist and God himself manifested as a janitor that only she can see, Alison chooses life. She chooses a future made for her with her daughter that is forming within her.
Alison’s Choice was a really wonderful movie. I wasn’t sure about it at first but overall I honestly enjoyed watching it. My almost 14 year old daughter watched as well and I hope that some day if she’s ever in this type of situation, she too will choose Life. It is my hope that by watching this with me, she was able to see that she does have options for something she may one day consider a mistake.
Alison’s Choice stars Chanel Marriott, Bruce Marchiano, and Gregg Wayans. It is 92 minutes in length. It’s recommended for ages 13 and up.
I really think this movie would be great for all young girls to see. You can purchase Alison’s Choice on DVD for $12.95 or digitally for $9.99. You can also purchase a 10 DVD pack for $99.95 to pass out to others. A One-Year Unlimited Screening License is also available for $89.95.
