God Loves Daddy & Me {FrontGate Review}

June 7, 2017 by Dana

God Loves Daddy & Me
Bonnie Rickner Jensen
Boardbook $6.50
This review comes to us from FrontGate Blogger Network.  We were gifted a free copy of God Loves Daddy & Me by Bonnie Rickner Jensen.  A few weeks ago we reviewed another book in this series called God Loves Mommy & Me also written by Bonnie Rickner Jensen.  You can read that review here.
God Loves Daddy & Me is very similar to God Loves Mommy & Me in design and artwork which are both done by Laura Watkins.  Laura and Bonnie work great together to create adorably intriguing books for children.  These books are simply awesome!

God Loves Daddy & Me features an adorable Raccoon Daddy and baby.  These guys really make you want to cuddle them up.  God Loves Mommy and Me featured an adorable set of Bunnies.  The Raccoons are a little more manly, in my opinion, which is great since this story is about Daddy!
The story takes the Raccoons on an adventure together showing all the way through that God is there and God loves them both.  They build forts, they go out in their boat, they take walks together just to talk.  One of my favorite parts is how they work together to get things done, like chores and then they can have lots of fun!
They play and camp, they hug and love and forgive one another.  And best of all, they pray.  Together they pray for the good and the bad in their days.
This is a wonderful christian book for your little one and just in time for Father’s Day!  You can grab a copy of God Loves Daddy & Me for $6.50 from Amazon.  You’ll love adding this one to your library at home.

Alison’s Choice {FrontGate Media Review}

February 1, 2017 by Dana

Alison’s Choice
A Film About Life
DVD $12.95
Alison’s Choice is a movie that speaks to your heart.  Sometimes in life mistakes are made and options to correct those mistakes are consider that aren’t always given the thought they deserve.  When we are young, with our future ahead of us, these mistakes can feel like burdens when they shouldn’t always feel that way.
https://alisonschoice.com/
Alison’s Choice is the story of Alison.  Like many young girls, Alison is in love and her love leads her to giving into lust.  Now she must decided what to do with the result of her escapade.
https://alisonschoice.com/
Alison thinks abortion may be the only answer.  Her boyfriend is pushing her to fix the mistake.  She isn’t sure how she can manage to raise a child when she’s barely able to take care of herself.

Alison visits the local clinic, alone.  Her boyfriend texts but can’t be bothered to be there for her.  While at the clinic, Alison comes across many others who are like her only in their own situations: a Mom who doesn’t need the extra burden right now, another young girl who has done this twice already and feels it’s just another mistake to take care of, and a few others.
Alison’s heart is telling her no while others are saying YES loudly.  She isn’t sure what to do.  With the help of a caring receptionist and God himself manifested as a janitor that only she can see, Alison chooses life.  She chooses a future made for her with her daughter that is forming within her.
Alison’s Choice was a really wonderful movie.  I wasn’t sure about it at first but overall I honestly enjoyed watching it.  My almost 14 year old daughter watched as well and I hope that some day if she’s ever in this type of situation, she too will choose Life.  It is my hope that by watching this with me, she was able to see that she does have options for something she may one day consider a mistake.

Alison’s Choice stars Chanel Marriott, Bruce Marchiano, and Gregg Wayans.  It is 92 minutes in length.  It’s recommended for ages 13 and up.

I really think this movie would be great for all young girls to see.  You can purchase Alison’s Choice on DVD for $12.95 or digitally for $9.99.  You can also purchase a 10 DVD pack for $99.95 to pass out to others.  A One-Year Unlimited Screening License is also available for $89.95.
Here’s is a sneak peak of Alison’s Choice for you to enjoy:

Jackson is 9 Months!! {Thoughts From Me}

June 8, 2013 by Dana

Jackson is currently in therapy because he’s just a little behind in sitting, pulling up and crawling. Our therapist tells us he has low muscle tone, and is basically top heavy because of his long torso.  He’s quickly catching up though.

Just this week, Jackson has learned to scoot crawl.  He pushes his feet and scoots himself across the floor.  For the last month he’s been rolling himself everywhere he wanted to go.  Whatever works!

Last month, Jackson learned to wave Bye Bye and he can also do Hi!  Last week he learned to play Pat-A-Cake and this week he’s learning to clap.  He loves his little games.

Every day he says more things.  He can say mmm, ddddd, bbbb.  He has said Bye-Bye a few times and DaDa.  His favorite word, though, is simply Jack-Jack.  I tell him all the time he is my Jack-Jack Love.

He’s eating everything: fruits, meats, veggies and even drinking milk with no problems.  We have not introduced nuts and eggs yet since they are high allergens.  He is allergic to sweet potatoes so we currently avoid everything that contains them.

Jackson is growing bigger every day.  He is growing into a sweet and gentle boy.  He’s definitely no longer a little baby.  He is a complete joy to our lives.  We have been surely blessed.
