Why is it like we are always in a competition? Why do we often feel we must be better than the next person? We’re all here and equal in this life. Not one of us is better than the next person. Tomorrow you could be the person who is down on their luck just as easily as I could be.
I think about this often. I see so many people just competing in life and not enjoying it. Looking down upon others because they wish to feel superior when really they’re the ones feeling inferior.
I live my day to day life, enjoying the blessings that I have. I have another day with my children, and my husband, my mother and our family. I have another day that is beautiful and bright outside, even if it’s a little hot. I have another day alive – simple as that.
My life has never been lived to be better than the next person. I have taught my children to stray away from the competitiveness of the world and instead embrace the uniqueness of it. We were meant to be unique individuals. We are each destined to do great things in life. Not one of us is better than the next.
Reach out and lift someone up today by telling them how much you love their unique self and their wonderful ways. Bring out the best in each other. Stop competing in a competition that will never be won and enjoy life simple as it is.
Until next time…
