Everyday Homemaking has helpful products that you can use in your home. Everyday Homemaking offers several different products: Everyday Cooking, The Everyday Family Chore System, Home Education 101 and My Homeschool Planner. Each of these are great for helping develop a better home.
For our review, we chose The Everyday Family Chore System. I felt like this was something we could use, even though we actually reviewed this same product several years ago. I remembered it and remembered how useful it was then so I decided to review it again with my children now that they are older. Once again, we had great results.
The Everyday Family Chore System is a book written to the homemaker that helps you to implement a better home schedule for cleaning and chores in your home. It teaches you to put your family to work and how to develop a better plan for everyone to use to help keep the house in order. It can be used with a large family or small and is simple and easy to put into place.
Most of the book explains how to use the system. It’s written to fully explain how the system works and make it easy for you to put to work with your family. At the end of the book are worksheets and chore cards which can be printed out for use with your family. I personally chose to laminate the chore cards so we would be able to use them longer because many little hands can destroy paper quickly and laminating allows the cards to have longer life.
There are blank chore cards that can be printed so you can add your own chores and routines to them. The only thing I really disliked about the book was I didn’t find it was easy to print the cards with my printer as it was designed. I tried to print odd/even pages and just couldn’t so I had to print the blank pages as well as the print ones.
The system itself is really easy to use. You print the cards and hand them to the responsible person. It’s an adaptable system. You could make use of the chore system in many ways. You could have the kids do the same chores, or you could have them choose different ones each time. It’s completely up to you.
The system does help you create a cleaner and more organized home for your family. It’s not an organizing system but it’s a great cleaning system. It can be used for all ages from youngest to oldest and is so so easy to put into place. The book itself doesn’t take long to read for you to get started.
You can buy The Everyday Family Chore System from Everyday Homemaking for $15.99 as a digital edition or $19.99 in a print edition. Remember digital allows you to reprint the chore cards as they become damaged if you wish.
